About the Project
The Mudugar Audio Dictionary Project is a multimedia initiative that aims to provide spoken or auditory explanations and definitions of words and terms used by the Mudugar community (an indigenous community) dwelling in the Palakkad district of Kerala. It typically involves recording and compiling audio pronunciations and explanations, which can be accessed by users through digital platforms or devices. The Muduga language is a complex one with primary influences from Malayalam, Tamil, and Kannada.
